Going into the 2013-2014 NFL season there have been many questions on what we will see from the New England Patriots! Most questions have focused around the offense and what Tom Brady will do without his five top receivers from the 2012-2013 season. Instead of guys like Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez the Patriots and Tom Brady have guys like Danny Amendola, Kenbrell Thompkins and Matthew Slater just to name a few. Now to most teams in most divisions this could be a huge problem and I know how good Tom Brady is and that the last time they won a Super Bowl the Patriots were filled with a bunch of no name offensive players including Tom Brady. But this isn’t the same AFC it was in the early 2000’s and the Patriots need help! But have no fear Patriot fans because your team plays in the AFC East and that alone will put them in the playoffs with at least one home game due to the fact they will win the division. The Patriots get two games against each of their division opponents the Jets, Dolphins and Bills. Now the Dolphins could be a challenge but even if they split with the Dolphins I have them going 5-1 in their division and still taking the division title! The luck of the Patriots will be quite obvious in just their first two games when they will face rookies back to back in E.J. Manuel for the Bills in week one and Geno Smith for the Jets in week two. To top that off they get second year quarterback Ryan Tannehill twice this year as well as only having to play six playoff teams from last year. Now if that’s not luck in the NFL I don’t know what is. Though there are many questions about the Patriots and their offense I think there are just as many for the three other teams in their division! Top that with the lack of serious opponents on their schedule and you get “The Luck of the Patriots”!
