With week 1 in the books here is SportsZone’s Power Rankings:
David Hastings
1. San Francisco 49ers (Still to me the most complete team in the NFL)
2. Denver Broncos (Splitting hairs between them and the 49ers)
3. Green Bay Packers (Even though they lost I was extremely impressed with how they looked against the 49ers)
4. Houston Texans (After the 1st half of MNF I almost took them out but their 2nd half comeback reminded of how good they are)
5. Seattle Seahawks (Still top 5 but shouldn’t have struggled against the Panthers like they did)
6. New Orleans Saints (If there defense shows up like they did in week 1 this team is a top 5 team in the league)
7. New England Patriots (Struggled to beat Buffalo and with injuries to Danny Amendola and Shane Vareen I had to knock them back in the rankings)
8. Atlanta Falcons (Even I’m surprised to have them here but with a hobbled Roddy White and question marks on defense I had no choice)
9. Chicago Bears (Trailed by 11 to the Bengals and managed to come back and win the game so I felt they deserved an appearance on my top 10)
10. Cincinnati Bengals (Blew an 11 point lead in Chicago but still think their one of the best teams in the NFL)
