We’re going to do something a little different this week, in addition to the Start ’em Up/Sit ’em Down columns we are going to do a special edition for the three games that will be played on Thanksgiving: Four players worth starting and one dud everyone should steer clear of. And so we begin!!

THE STUDS

QB- Matt Stafford, Detroit Lions vs. Philadelphia Eagles (Fanduel Price- $7200, DraftKings Price- $5300)

Stafford’s played much better over the last two weeks, both Lions’ wins, and now he takes on the reeling Eagles’ weak defense that just gave up five touchdowns to Jameis Winston. At $5300 on Draftkings he’s an absolute steal this week.

RB- Jonathan Stewart, Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys (FD- $7100, DK- $5200)

The Daily Show is having one of the best seasons of his career during the Panthers 10-0 start, with 794 rushing yards and four scores on the seasons. The Cowboys might have allowed only one 100 yard rusher this season, but they have allowed 10 scores to backs this season, and overall they give up the seventh most fantasy points to running backs and the Panthers will look to control the clock in Big D. Enjoy the fact that he’s priced so cheaply.

RB- Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears (FD- $6500, DK- $4700)

Well, look who’s back. After a mostly disappointing season, Lacy stormed back against the Vikings to the tune of his first 100 yard game this season, and now he’s back at home against a Bears defense that has given up double-digit fantasy points to backs in each of the last four games. Go with Fat Eddie at his bargain basement prices.

WR- Golden Tate, Detroit vs. Philadelphia (FD- $6300, DK- $4700)

The Eagles can’t stop anyone on defense, so Megatron is the start that goes without saying, but Tate has been targeted 15 times for 12 catches and 125 yards over the last two weeks, so it’s just a matter of time before he hits pay dirt, and this week seems as good as any. Go Golden.

THE DUD

RB- Matt Forte, Chicago at Green Bay (FD- $7800, DK- $6800)

Forte is expected to return after a knee injury kept him out the last three weeks. But between the Packers being a top ten defense against running backs and the emergence of Jeremy Langford in the backfield, don’t expect the Bears to force the issue. If he can’t break off anything big early Langford could still be the primary ball carrier the majority of the game. Wait until week 13 to unleash Forte if you can.
